Field surveys and tests aim to portray the current condition of the existing pavement or materials to be considered. In a restoration project, it is essential to prepare as accurate a diagnosis as possible of the problems revealed by the pavement, which should consist of a clarification of the mechanisms through which the deterioration of the pavement has been occurring over time.
The project reports present the characteristics of the materials considered in the design, the calculation report, the results presented by the defined design methodology, as well as schematic drawings of the designed sections and single-line diagrams of parameters and recommended solutions.
In the analysis of design alternatives, the life cycle cost and the evolution of performance parameters during the design period are considered, such as: Pavement Serviceability Index (PSI); longitudinal irregularity (IRI), fatigue cracking (FC2+FC3), transverse irregularity (ATR), and Remaining Life (VR).
